About Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji
Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji (1621–1675) was a spiritual guide, poet, and defender of human rights. His life reflected humility, detachment from materialism, and deep devotion to God. Guru Sahib’s ultimate act of martyrdom—sacrificing his life in Delhi in defense of religious freedom for others—remains unparalleled in world history. He gave up his head but not his principles, showing humanity the highest standard of selflessness. His words, “Give up your head, but forsake not those whom you have undertaken to protect,” continue to echo as a call to righteousness.
